Susan is the owner and Senior Psychologist at Leading Change Psychology. Her zest and enthusiasm have helped her reach high levels. Working with local and large organisations Susan offers a range of workplace psychological services. She is a trained Couples Psychologist, experienced in Forensic Assessment and Psychotherapy for adults. As an advocate for remote and Indigenous mental health, she has established low cost private psychology clinics across NQ.

Susan is an experienced AHPRA registered psychologist & North Queensland Australia Psychological Society Committee member, who works hard to promote close networks for all psychologists in North Queensland.

After many years contracting to the Family Court of Australia, providing forensic assessments, she realised she wanted to do more for couples and families to keep them strong. As a result Susan trained as a Couples Psychologist to help couples build long-lasting, and close relationships. Susan is the highest qualified Gottman Couples Psychologist in North Queensland.

As a Psychologist working with adults she takes a Positive Psychology perspective meaning rather than focusing on what is wrong with people she works to help people flourish and improve their overall well-being.

DR CAROL MITCHELL

Family Psychologist

Dr Carol Mitchell with people across the lifespan from children to adults and families.
Working with Children & Families
Carol has many years of experience in working with child and adolescent development and disorders. She is skilled in play therapy, and working therapeutically with teens. She provides counselling for ADHD, self-esteem issues, social and interpersonal problems including anger management as well as for children struggling with anxiety and trauma
She also enjoys working within family systems to repair and rebuild relationships.
Counselling & Developmental Psychologist:
Carol employs a bio-psycho-social(-spiritual) model in her work, taking careful consideration of any biological or bio-medical issues that people may be facing, together with their social, psychological (and where relevant, spiritual) contexts. Whether you are facing difficulties with becoming a parent, accepting an empty nest, or coming to terms with end of life issues, Carol works with people where they are at, to assist them to resolve these tensions.
Carol has been a Senior University Lecturer in Psychology and been involved in training psychologists for twenty years. In addition to her work with children, families and communities, she is constantly engaged in research and training to ensure a quality service is delivered to her clients.

Roslyn holds a Masters in Organisational Psychology which gives her the ability to simultaneously hold and understand both business needs and individual psychological needs.

Roslyn is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australia Psychological Society (APS). As a qualified Organisational Psychologist in her homeland, Roslyn’s professional experience spans across a variety of industries such as remote health, aged care, telecommunications, academia, engineering, manufacturing, information technology, mining and motoring.
Her work has primarily been consulting, teaching and practising in the fields of leadership development, team building, organisational development, change management, coaching, job analysis, outplacement, psychometrics, recruitment, facilitation, graduate development, curriculum development, human resources and lean six sigma continuous improvement.

Roslyn has a particular interest in career guidance for school leavers, career development for young adults and career transition for adults. She uses a range of psychometic tests in her robust process of career counselling.

Laura understands the psychology of generational differences.  With a master’s degree in Organisational Psychology, Laura understands the multi-generational workforce, and her research thesis focused on age and gender discrimination. She has applied this to her counselling and works with clients of all demographics and backgrounds (e.g., Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, LGBTQ+, Expats etc.).

Laura helps people to level up and reach their full potential for Emotional Intelligence. She works with people who are struggling with out of control emotions, or just feeling their emotions too intensely, almost like being on a rollercoaster.
